Cable TV Ratings for Week of Nov. 30 - Dec. 6
Football, Tyler Perry comedies top cable favorites as December begins (December
9, 2009) As winter begins, black households return indoors to their
favorite programs, and for cable that means Monday Night Football and
the Tyler Perry Tuesday night comedy block on TBS. The NFL match-up
between the New England Patroits and the New Orleans Saints pulled in
3.4 million black viewers. House of Payne and Meet The Browns each
attracted more than two million watchers to claim the No.2 and No.3
spots.
TBS remained the week's favorite cable network in black households, with
10.6 million viewers. ESPN followed with 3.4 million for its three Top
25 shows. Nickelodeon attracted 3.1 million for third place.
The total number of viewers watching the Top 25 most popular cable
shows, according to Nielsen, was 30.1 million, or three percent fewer
than the week before.
