Black
TV Ratings for Week of Nov. 30 - Dec. 6 Football
dominates the Top 25 chart; CBS remains most watched network (December
8, 2009) The first week of December was uneventful -- meaning black
households' TV viewing habits were uninterrupted by any must-see
specials -- and the usual suspects attracted their usual audiences.
Sunday Night Football on NBC and The OT on Fox were the only offerings
drawing more than two million black viewers on the Top 25.
CBS easily maintained its supremacy over the Top 25 as the week's most
watched network. It pulled in 14.4 million watchers for 12 of its shows.
ABC was second with 9.1 million for seven shows. Fox squeaked pass NBC
into third with 5.4 million for three shows.
The total number of viewers watching the Top 25 favorite shows in black
households, as cited by Nielsen, was 34.2 million. That's nine percent
fewer than watched the previous week.
