Black TV Ratings for Week of November 23 - 29
Football and 'Dancing' cap the Top 25 chart; CBS continues its dominance

(December 3, 2009) Thanksgiving week found black households comfortable with their usual preferences in TV watching. NBC and the NFL claimed the No.1 and 3 positions with the game between Pittsburgh and Baltimore. ABC took second and fourth with Dancing with the Stars.

CBS held on to it crown as the week’s most watched broadcast network in black households. It attracted 21.2 million viewers for its nine shows on the Top 25. ABC followed with 10.6 million watchers for seven programs. NBC was third with 8.8 million tuning in six programs.

The total number of viewers watching the Top 25 was unaffected by the holiday, with 37.8 million tuning in, according to Nielsen data -- identical to the previous week’s total.
