Black TV Ratings for Week of November 16 - 22
Robin Roberts' interview with Janet Jackson draws 2 million black viewers

(November 19, 2009) ABC's Robin Roberts had a good showing with her debut interview show, In The Spotlight, featuring a one-hour, one-on-one with singer Janet Jackson. The program attracted just above two million black viewers and landed as the No.3 most watched show of the week. Not bad for going up against CSI: NY on CBS and TBS' Meet the Browns in the same time slot.

While Roberts gave her network a big boost overall, CBS still finished as the week's most watched network with 14.5 million black viewers for ten shows. ABC posted 12.8 million watchers across eight shows. NBC trailed with 9.2 million for six programs.

The total number of viewers for the Top 25 TV shows in black households, according to Nielsen, was down just two percent from the previous week to 38 million.
