Black TV Ratings for Week of November 9 - 15
Football and the usual Top 25 favorites hold on to black viewers' interests

(November 19, 2009) Black households settled into their usual viewing habits since TV offered no blockbuster specials or exclusive must-see interviews during the second week of November. NBC's Sunday Night football was the No.1 show again, but it claimed a million fewer black viewers than the previous week.

CBS remained the most watched TV network and had 14.8 million viewers for eight of its shows on the Top 25. ABC was the week's No.2 network, posting 9.4 million viewers for seven shows. NBC barely beat fox for third place with 7.5 million viewers for four shows.

The total number of black viewers watching the Top 25, according to Nielsen, was 39.1 million -- just three percent less than the previous week.
