Turner Patterson
to represent Codeblack Interactive in brand, sponsorship deals (October 24, 2008) Turner Patterson has been named Agency of Record to
represent Codeblack Interactive. Turner Patterson will work with
Codeblack Interactive to pursue and secure strategic business
partnerships to include product placement, brand integration and content
sponsorships. "I am extremely excited to have TurnerPatterson as part of
our team", said Quincy Newell, President CodeBlack Interactive "Their
extension relationships and experience puts Codeblack Interactive in an
immediate position to build very valuable and fruitful partnerships."
Codeblack Interactive, the new digital branch of the first vertically
integrated African American-owned film studio, and YouTube have
partnered to distribute original, made-for-the-internet urban
programming. The first original series to be featured on Codeblack's
YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/codeblacktv) will be created by the
head writer of the hit TV series "The Boondocks," Yamara Taylor. The new
animated show will be featured alongside Codeblack's unrivaled library
of African-American filmed content, the largest in the nation.
"We are very excited about the future of Codeblack Interactive. Their
digital platforms and distribution channels aligned with existing
distribution platforms in theatrical and DVD, provides future partners
with a one-stop multi-platform solution to reach the African American
consumer market, said Debra Turner Carrington (above), CEO Turner Patterson.
As part of this deal, Codeblack Interactive will make select advertising
and sponsorship opportunities available within its specialized
programming, on its YouTube channel and across the Google Content
Network. Through Google, CodeBlack will syndicate the new programming to
thousands of online destinations targeting the African-American
audience.
