Black Cable TV Ratings for Week of October 11 - 17
BET repeats as most watched cable network thanks to Hip-Hop Awards

(October 20, 2010) BET's Hip-Hop Awards special drew more black viewers than Monday Night Football, even though it had a smaller share of the African American audience for its time slot. The special placed No.2 on the Top 25 chart and gave the BET reality show, Being Terry Kennedy, the perfect lead-in to capture the No.3 spot.

With 8.6 million viewers for six shows (double its audience last week), BET again earned the week's most watched cable network title. TBS claimed second place with 6.8 million viewers over five programs. Nickelodeon had 3.4 million viewers for four shows.

Nielsen recorded that the total number of viewers for the Top 25 shows was up 41% from last week to 30 million.
