Black TV Ratings for Week of October 12 - 18
TV's winners and losers emerge as black viewing habits get locked in

(October 20, 2009) Black TV viewers seem to have made their choices about the new season and it may be time to sort out the winners from the losers among new shows. CBS's additions to its line, NCIS: Los Angeles and The Good Wife, continue to be favorites in black households. ABC's Flash Forward doesn't have the popularity of its older shows with African-Americans, ranking sixth among its show on the chart. Fox's Sunday animation block led by newcomer Cleveland continues to be the network's most popular offerings with African-Americans.

The week's most watched network title remains with CBS, which had 13 million viewers for nine shows. ABC was second, posting 8.5 million viewers for seven shows. NBC passed Fox this week with 7.6 million watching five of its shows.

The total number of viewers tuning in the Top 25 show, according to Nielsen data, was 35.5 million -- virtually the same as the previous week.
