Cable TV Ratings for Week of October 4 - 10 Title of most
watched network swings to BET with TBS comedies on baseball hiatus
(October 14, 2010) Major League Baseball knocked "Meet the Browns" out
of the cable schedule and created an opening for the title of most
watched cable network. Though the competition of late has been between
TBS and Nickelodeon, BET that took the honor.
BET attracted 4.3 million viewers for five programs, which is less than
half of what TBS usually attracts. Second place went to Nickelodeon with
three million watchers for five shows. USA network claimed 2.2 million
viewers for two shows.
The total number of viewers watching the Top 25 cable shows, according
to Nielsen, was 21.6 million. That was a drop of 17 percent from the
previous week.
