TV Ratings for Week of October 4 - 10 Most
watched TV network in black households see-saws between CBS, NBC
(October 13, 2010) Black TV viewers are still making their decisions
about where their allegiances will fall with the new season schedule.
During the first week of October, most of the usual winners on the Top
25 chart repeated their performance from the previous week. NBC's
"Undercovers" lost about 200,000 viewers, going from eighth to eleventh.
CBS' "Hawaii Five-O" joined the list of favorites for the first time at
No.20 with 1.1 million viewers.
CBS earned 15.6 million viewers for 11 of its shows to take back the
most watched TV network title. NBC dropped to second with 12 million
viewers across six programs. ABC had 10.5 million watchers for seven
shows.
For the first time in four weeks the total number of black viewers
watching the Top 25 dropped. Nielsen recorded an 11 percent decline to
39.5 million.
