Radio One names Chris Wegmann and Alan Leinwand to Washington, DC market

(September 27, 2010) Radio One, Inc. announced that Christopher Wegmann has been named Vice President/General Manager and Alan Leinwand has been named Director of Sales for Radio One's five-station cluster in Washington, DC.

Mr. Wegmann, a broadcasting veteran of 30+ years, joined Radio One in March 2009 as Vice President/General Manager of St. Louis and Regional Vice President over Dallas. He continues to hold these positions.

"I am excited to have Chris assume the position of General Manager of our five-station cluster in DC," said Barry Mayo, President, Radio Division. "His ability to increase revenue and market share is amply evident in the results that our St. Louis and Dallas markets have posted in 2009 and 2010, and I anticipate the same outcome in DC."

"I am fortunate that after only a short time with Radio One I have been given the opportunity to oversee the Company's heritage market," said Mr. Wegmann. "I look forward to working with the dedicated staff of the DC market to achieve our collective goals of increased ratings, revenue and market share."

Mr. Leinwand will be responsible for advertising sales, including the digital brands, for Majic 102.3 (WMMJ-FM), Kiss 93.9 (WKYS-FM), Praise 104.1 (WPRS-FM), WYCB(AM) and WOL(AM). He was most recently General Sales Manager in New York City for Clear Channel-owned Z100 and Power105, and will be returning to DC where he had an extensive track record of success in management and sales with CBS Radio.

During Mr. Leinwand's 12-year tenure with WJFK-FM in DC he led the station to the top billing position in the market during four consecutive years. Prior to joining WJFK he worked for WMAL(AM) in DC where he spent almost seven years as General Sales Manager, Local Sales Manager and a Senior Account Executive. He started his career at WTOP(AM) in Washington in the early 1980's.

Chris Wegmann commented, "Alan's strong track record and history of success in Washington along with his knowledge and passion for the DC market made him the clear choice for the DOS position to lead this Radio One cluster."

Alan Leinwand stated that, "I am thrilled to be joining Radio One and excited about returning to the DC radio market where I spent over 20 years.
