Black Cable TV Ratings for Week of Sept. 20 - 26
Nick-At-Nite becomes most watched cable with 2-hour black program block

(September 30, 2010) The Nickelodeon cable  has taken a page from the playbook of TBS and created a Wednesday back-to-back block of re-runs that has earned it the title of this week's most watched cable  in black households. Using two-hour block of "Everybody Hates Chris" and "My Wife and Kids," Nick has found a successful complement to its other shows already popular with younger black viewers.

Nick moved up to the No.1 most watched cable  of the week, with 7.8 million viewers for its 10 shows on the Top 25. TBS was pushed back to second place in the  race, attracting 7.1 million watchers for its usual five programs. ESPN was third with its single entry of "Monday Night Football."

The total number of viewers watching the Top 25 cable shows, according to Nielsen, was 25.6 million, or six percent less than the previous week.
