(September 23, 2010) Uptown Magazine, the only luxury lifestyle magazine targeted at the affluent African American market, announced the launch of the first Uptown Mobile branded iPhone application. Uptown Magazine City Guides offers users access, perks, VIP treatment and discounts to the hottest restaurants, bars, lounges, hotels and shopping in over 40 US cities and is available through iTunes and the iPhone App Store. The guides debuted as one of the top 10 most downloaded free travel applications.

Uptown Magazine City Guides is the first of many user-friendly entertainment and lifestyle applications that will be introduced under the Uptown Mobile brand. All of the applications include opportunities for advertiser support, with banner ads, broadband and customized opportunities.

Uptown Mobile was created to reach the growing affluent African American consumer base who increasingly rely on mobile devices for professional and social communications and is a natural extension of Uptown's current offerings of print, television and online media plus targeted events.
