Moore, ad industry activist, injured car accident (September
28, 2009) One of the advertising industry's leading advocates for
diversity and fairness was injured in an auto accident last week in New
York. As a result of the accident, Sanford Moore was unable to make
recent scheduled appearances in Washington, DC at events for the
National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters and the Congressional
Black Caucus. Moore said his injuries were not serious and he is
recovering.
Moore has over forty years experience in advertising and
communications. He began his career in account management at BBDO in
1969. He subsequently was a consultant/contractor to BBDO on numerous
accounts including: Campbell Soup, Burger King, Schaefer Brewing, Ocean
Spray, Taco Bell and the US Department of Housing & Urban Development.
Mr. Moore was also a partner, Director of Client Services at Lockhart &
Pettus, one of the leading Black ad agencies.
Sanford Moore has given of his expertise in behalf of numerous causes
including the African Famine, Cesar Chavez/UFW, Nelson Mandela/ANC. He
has been a panelist on the highly-rated Week in Review talk show on
KISS-fm, New York for the last 14 years.
