Lee Moss Media
gains sponsorship from McDonald's, Sprite for growing Web network
(September 25, 2009) Lee Moss Media, a firm that specializes in online
marketing to African Americans, has recently secured sponsorship deals
with McDonald's and Sprite. Both deals are for extensive advertising
campaigns targeting African American college students via
HBCUconnect.com - the firm's flagship web site.
The McDonald's campaign, via advertising agency Burrell Communications,
promotes their "Flavor Battle" competition - which involves voting for
the best DJ (Spinderella, DJ Irie, or Bryan Michael-Cox) - each
associated with a specialty hamburger.
The Sprite campaign, via advertising agency MediaVest, promotes their
upcoming "Step Off" competition - a televised stepping tournament where
Black fraternity and sorority teams can compete for a $1.5 million in
scholarship prizes.
Based in Columbus, Ohio, Lee Moss Media owns the largest network of
premium African American web sites - including HBCUconnect.com,
BlackNews.com, BlackHistory.com, BlackWomenConnect.com,
BlackInAmerica.com, BlackCEOs.com, and many others. Combined, they have
a reach of over 2 million unique visitors each month.
Just recently, they acquired SupplierDiversity.com with plans to launch
it as an online tool for major corporations looking to do business with
minority suppliers.
