Black TV Ratings for Week of September 13 - 19
CBS regains week's most watched network title as new TV season begins

(September 21, 2010) After last week's launching of NFL Football, TV viewing in black households returned to a more predictable pattern. That doesn't mean that football was any less dominate on the Top 25 chart of most popular programs. It still represented three of the top five spots.

NBC's new legal drama, Outlaw, stars veteran Jimmy Smits as a a conservative Supreme Court justice with a gambling problem. The show got off to a good start, with 1.3 million black viewers tuning following a strong lead-in from America's Got Talent.

CBS regained its moniker of most watched network, drawing 10.6 million for ten of its Top 25 shows. Second place went to NBC claimed 9.2 million for six, mostly football related shows. ABC was third sixth 3.6 million watching four of its programs.

Nielsen recorded the total number of viewers for the Top 25 at 31.2 million, or 16 percent fewer than the total for the previous week.
