Cable TV Ratings for Week of August 18 - 24
'Payne' drops slightly while 'Baldwin Hills' audience gains; Disney is top network

(August 27, 2008) The cable ratings juggernaut "House of Payne" couldn't hold off the changes of summer viewing habits. During the third week of August, the TBS show saw a slight dip in audience for its Wednesday night two-hour block. The Tyler Perry comedy still took first, second and third on the Top 25 cable shows chart. BET's "Baldwin Hills," on the other hand, saw a modest growth in audience and captured the fourth and fifth spots.

Disney won the distinction of most watched network for the week with a total of five shows on the Top 25. TBS, BET and TBS followed with four shows each.

The total number of viewers watching the Top 25 saw a a big increase of 15.7 percent to 25.8 million over the previous week.
