Black TV Ratings for Week of August 11 - 17
'60 Minutes' interview with Michael Vick takes No.1 on Top 25

(August 18, 2009) The winner for most watched program of the week in black households was football again -- sort of. The "60 Minutes" exclusive interview with former Atlanta Falcons quarterback, Michael Vick, who served 18 month in prison for operating a dog fighting ring, drew 1.5 million black viewers [The show was No.2 in white households].

CBS easily retained the title of most watched broadcast network, with a total of 12.9 million viewers for its 14 shows on the Top 25. Six of CBS' shows were all on Sunday night. Fox was the No.2 network with 4.1 million viewers for five shows. NBC finished third, posting 3.2 million for three programs.

The total number of viewers for the Top 25 most popular shows in black households, according to Nielsen data, was 22.7 million. That's about one percent less than the previous week's total.
