Fidelity National
names Andrea Debnam Multicultural Marketing Manager
(August
9, 2007) Fidelity National Financial, Inc., the nation's largest title
insurance company has announced the appointment of Andrea Debnam as
Multicultural Marketing Manager for the Pacific Northwest Region. She will
also be responsible for education and outreach initiatives to increase
homeownership for the rapidly growing Latino, Asian and African-American
populations in that area.
According to the U.S. Census, from the year 2000 to 2020, more than 80
percent of the population growth in the United States will come from the
Latino, Asian and African-American communities. "The population growth in
the Pacific Northwest region parallels that of the nation and Fidelity
National Financial is proud to focus more resources to promote
homeownership in these three market segments," said Brad London, Executive
Vice President and Regional Manager.
"We are pleased to have Andrea join the Multicultural Marketing Division,"
said Pablo Wong, Senior Vice President for Market Development. "Andrea's
experience and proven abilities in business development and cultural
competency make her a valuable addition to the Fidelity team and will
greatly benefit the customers and communities we serve."
Debnam, who will be located in Seattle, is eager to expand Fidelity's
consumer outreach, educational opportunities and specialized programs in
communities throughout the Pacific Northwest. She said, "I'm excited and
honored to join a company who is a clear leader in the real estate
industry. Most of all, I am proud to be a part of a team whose vision is
to increase home ownership in underserved markets."
Fidelity National Financial provides a variety of real estate services and
educational resources to multicultural communities. Education and outreach
are one of the largest barriers to home ownership for non-Anglo and
immigrant consumers. For example, even though Asian-Americans have the
highest income and education level of any ethnic group, it has a
homeownership rate about 15% below the Anglo homeownership rate. Moreover,
home ownership rates in the United States for Latinos and
African-Americans remain 25 percent lower than home ownership rates for
Anglo households.
Debnam has 10 years experience in sales and marketing in the real estate
industry. Prior to joining FNF, she worked for Fidelity National Title and
for HOST Development International, a Portland-based real estate
development company. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a
tremendous passion in helping to close the homeownership gap in
underserved communities by participating in organizations such as the
Portland Housing Center (PHC), the African-American Alliance for
Homeownership, the Latino Home Initiative and the National Association of
Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) Portland-Vancouver Chapter, where she serves
as Vice President.
She graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor's degree in
Psychology.
