Cable TV Ratings for Week of July 28 - August 3
'Payne' reaches season high of 3 million viewers; BET, Disney tie for top network

(August 6, 2008) The TBS hit comedy, Tyler Perry's "House of Payne" attracted a season high three million viewers among black households, just as it did last summer. The Wednesday night, back-to-back block had a total of 8.6 million viewers.

BET's reality series, "Baldwin Hills," captured fourth and fifth positions on the top 25 cable shows with some of its best numbers of the season. The network's Movie of the Week rounded off its three-in-a-row by taking sixth place.

BET and Disney shared the honors of being the week's most watched cable networks with five shows each on the chart. They were followed by TBS and USA which places three shows each.

The total number of viewers for the top 25, according to Nielsen data, was 28.5 million, or three percent more than watched the previous week.
