Black TV Ratings for Week of July 27 - Aug. 2
NBC uses its 'Talent' to finish No.1 again; CBS keeps a lock on top network title

(August 4, 2009) NBC's "America's Got Talent" held on to again claim the No.1 most popular show with lack viewers for a second consecutive week. In fact, it lead a sweep by NBC of the top three spots on the Top 25 chart. ["Talent" also finished No.1 in white households for its Tuesday airing.]

CBS continued its stronghold on the most watched network title, with 9.7 million viewers for 12 shows. NBC was second with 6.2 million, and Fox posted 3.3 million for four programs.

The total number of viewers for this week's Top 25 shows, according to Nielsen research, was 21.7 million -- virtually identical last week's.
