Black Cable TV Ratings for Week of July 12 - 18
TBS' comedies draw the largest black audience of any regular summer programming

(July 21, 2010) Some programs may be finding it difficult to keep their regular viewers interested in re-runs, but not TBS. The popularity of Tyler Perry's "Meet the Browns" rolls on through the dog days of summer, and are the only regular fare that's attracting nearly two million black viewers. Other programs that appeal to the younger members of the household are also enjoying some attention.

TBS took back its title of most watched cable network, with 9.5 million viewers tuning in seven of its Top 25 shows. TNT followed in second with 3.6 million watchers over four programs. Disney captured 3.5 million for four of its shows.

The total number of viewers watching the Top 25 cable shows in black households, according to Nielsen, was down 12 percent to 25 million.
