TV Ratings for Week of July 12 - 18 CBS
continues to benefit from popularity of its line-up during re-run season (July 19,
2010) The summer continues to challenge broadcast TV networks, as new
cable offerings and other leisure activities grab the attention of
viewers. Popular mid-week re-runs still draw black viewers, along with
new episodes of reality and competition programs. But few shows were
able to attract at least a million watchers.
CBS remains to most popular of the networks, but it saw a drop of 18
percent this past week. It had 10.2 million viewers for 11 of its Top 25
shows. ABC held at about the same number with 4.75 million for five
shows, while Fox was a close third with 4.1 million tuning in five of
its most popular shows.
For the second week of July, the total number of viewers watching the
Top 25 most popular shows in black households was down five percent to
23 million.
