The Week of July 2 - 8
‘CSI: Miami’ tops CBS’ win for week’s top show and leading network

(July 11, 2007) With the Fourth of July holiday falling in the middle of the week, many black TV viewers were tending the grill rather than the remote. None of the top 25 most popular shows had a million households, but CSI: Miami put CBS in the No.1 position.

CBS also took the title of the week's leading network – again – with eight shows on the chart. ABC followed with six winners, while Fox and the CW had four each. NBC claimed three shows.

The total number of black households watching the top 25, according to Nielsen Media Research, was 17.9 million. That represents a drop of eight percent over the previous week’s 19.5 million households.
