Uptownlife.net offers lifestyle destination to affluent African-Americans

(July 9, 2008) UPTOWN Magazine, the luxury lifestyle publication targeted at Affluent African Americans, has launched its web-based counterpart, Uptownlife.net, bringing the UPTOWN lifestyle to consumers on a daily basis.

Uptownlife.net complements the magazine by offering additional content with features including "Clique," the photo section of the site, which allows viewers to submit and view gallery photos, Uptown TV, the broadband section that offers custom webisodes as well as Featured Blogs from writers in lifestyle entertainment. The site will also launch two new sections in early July. Uptown Guides will feature 5,000 of the best restaurants, lounges and bars in 15 major cities. A political blog will run through November and feature the best and brightest in politics.

"Our objective in creating Uptownlife.net is to develop a more regular connection to our consumers and more dynamic touch-points for our advertisers. Our goal is to inspire, inform and interact with our core consumers in a compelling and entertaining manner," said Brett Wright, CEO and Co-Founder, Uptown Media.

The current pages of Uptownlife.net feature content from the June Entertainment Issue featuring Barack Obama with commentary by Spike Lee, as well as Clique, Uptown TV and the blogs, unique content unavailable anywhere else. Infiniti Motors is sponsoring UptownLife.net's restaurant guide launch in the 15 cities online.

With the increasing trend of African Americans shopping online (source: International Demographics), Uptownlife.net is an effective way to connect with the affluent market in an entertaining and unique manner.

Founded in 2004, Uptown Media is the only luxury lifestyle company that targets the Affluent African American (AAA) Market. UPTOWN Magazine affords luxury purveyors the broadest access to this highly sought-after male and female demographic -- the AAA. Uptown Media Group, LLC offers both traditional and innovative strategies, including UPTOWN Magazine (published quarterly with NYC, Chicago, Atlanta, Washington DC and National editions).
