AOL's Black Voices.com launches weekly video entertainment wrap up with Toyota

(June 30, 2008) Black Voices, has launched The Black Voices Weekly Wire, a weekly three-minute video recap of top entertainment news. Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. is the official sponsor of the six-week program, with a new video available every Friday on Black Voices' Entertainment Newswire and Style Spotter blogs. The Black Voices Weekly Wire is hosted by Tatyana Ali, R&B artist and actress who is best known for her role as Ashley Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Black Voices is the No. 1 online destination for African-American news, culture and community.

AOL's Platform-A, http://www.platform-a.com, worked with Toyota to develop The Black Voices Weekly Wire program, which will help build awareness of the 2009 Camry V6 XLE. Each week, the three-minute video will highlight entertainment stories of interest to the African-American audience, providing users a forum to comment on and discuss the latest news.

"Black Voices is thrilled to work with Toyota to bring our audience this exciting entertainment wrap up hosted by celebrity Tatyana Ali," said Black Voices Director Tariq Muhammad. "The Black Voices Weekly Wire gives users a one-stop shop for catching up on the previous week's most buzz-worthy news."

“We are excited to be partnering with AOL's Black Voices, to promote our new Camry, IF LOOKS COULD KILL digital campaign," says Dionne Colvin, National Advertising Strategy & Planning Manager, Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. “We want to reach the target by providing compelling content that puts African-American women in the driver's seat and Black Voices is a leader in reaching this valuable consumer online."

The Black Voices Weekly Wire will run now through August 1. The weekly entertainment video segments will cover the previous week's happenings in the worlds of fashion, music, movies, TV and interactive entertainment.
