Black TV Ratings for Week of May 25 - 31
CBS, most watched network, takes over a Top 25 without  'Idol,' or 'Dancing'

(May 27, 2009) The last week of the May was extremely kind to CBS. Not having to compete against "American Idol," "Dancing with the Stars" of the NBA Playoffs, the network swept the top three spots on the chart. Though there were significantly fewer folks watching, CBS notched seven winners in the top ten.

CBS had more black viewers -- 11.1 million -- than any network. It was followed by NBC, which claimed an unusual second place with 4.5 million viewers. ABC was third with 4.3 million.

The total number of viewers for the Top 25 most popular shows in black households was 24.2 million, according to Nielsen. That's a big 30 percent drop from the previous week's total.
