Arbitron retains Kizart Media Partners in urban radio advertising effort (May
25, 2010) Arbitron, Inc. has retained Chicago-based Kizart Media
Partners marketing consultants as part of an outreach effort to drive
more advertising revenue to urban radio stations. The announcement of
the deal was made at the recent conference of the National Association
of Black Owned Broadcasters by Arbitron Executive Vice President and
Chief Market Officer, Alton Adams.
Kizart Media Partners, a sales and marketing consulting firm, was
launched a year ago to provide its media clients revenue growth through
targeted strategic initiatives. KMP's Managing Director, Sherman Kizart,
says the company is uniquely positioned to deliver results based on his
20-year of experience in leveraging relationships with advertisers and
agencies.
Prior to forming the new firm, Kizart was Senior Vice President/Director
of Urban Marketing of Interep, Inc. Among his accomplishments was
securing, planning and placement of the $10 million Obama For President
ad campaign.
Last month, Arbitron reached an agreement with the PPM Coalition in a
dispute over the ratings company’s recruitment methodology for its
Portable People Meter service.
