TV Ratings for Week of May 12 - 18
CSI's ratings gains push out "Dancing;" CBS claims most watched network

(May 20, 2008) It looks like CBS' CSI franchise benefited from the heavy promotion it got for the sweeps period. The crime drama side-stepped ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" on the top 25 favorite shows with black households and snatched the third and fourth spots on this week's chart. "American Idol" remained in its perch at No.1 and 2.

Thanks to the coattails of its most popular shows, CBS earned the title of most watched network for the third week of May. It was followed by ABC with eight entries, and Fox, which had four.

The total number of viewers watching the top 25 shows, according to Nielsen ratings, was 36.1 million, or five percent more than the previous week.
