Black Cable TV Ratings for Week of April 25 - May 2
First round of NBA Playoffs slam dunk Top 25 black cable viewing

(May 5, 2010) The first round of the NBA Playoffs started strong and finished stronger. The games topped their viewing power from last year's record-setting audiences. Game-related programming on TNT dominated black households cable viewing for the last week of April.

TNT easily captured the week's most watched cable network title with a whopping 16 million black viewers tuning in ten broadcasts. TBS took a rare second place with 8.1 million viewers for five of its Top 25 shows. BET was third with 5.0 million watchers for five shows on the chart.

The total number of viewers for the Top 25 cable shows, as cited by Nielsen, was 35.4 million, a 7.8 percent increase from the previous week.
