Colgate launches online Mother's Day promotion with gospel duo Mary Mary

(April 25, 2008) Colgate Palmolive has announced plans for a unique Mother's Day online promotion featuring the music of Grammy award-winning Gospel duo, Mary Mary. By participating in the "Send Her A Colgate Smile!" promotion, consumers can honor the "mothers" in their lives with a musical E-card featuring a verse from A Mother's Smile -- an inspirational Mother's Day tribute song written and performed by Mary Mary exclusively for Colgate-Palmolive.

The E-cards can be previewed and downloaded free of charge at www.colgate.com/mothersday.  
 
The full song can be downloaded by the first 50,000 people entering two UPC codes from participating Colgate-Palmolive products beginning April 24th, 2008. The "Send Her A Colgate Smile!" musical E-card promotion concludes May 13, 2008.

Historically, women who fill the role of "mother" have been at the core of the African American experience. Many African Americans have various women in their lives acting in a "motherly" way: their biological mother, stepmother, grandmother, godmother, church mother, and aunts that are more like mothers. The "Send Her A Colgate Smile!" Mother's Day promotion is designed to give African American consumers a rich, interactive online experience, while allowing them to pay special tribute to their "mothers" with this one-of-kind musical E-card.

Consumers can select from two versions of the "Send Her A Colgate Smile!" E-Card and include personal messages. UPC codes required to download the full version of Mary Mary's Mother's Day tribute song, A Mother's Smile, can be found on Colgate Palmolive products such as Colgate toothpaste, Palmolive dishwashing liquid, Softsoap brand body wash and more.
