Noir Media Group forms alliance to launch NOIRwoman Ad Network

(April 25, 2011) Noir Media Group LTD has developed an alliance with Vertical Market Ad Solutions to launch NOIRwoman Ad Network, an advertising network and lifestyle network for African American women.

NOIRwoman Ad Network is a fully functional advertising platform allowing advertisers and publishers to purchase advertising space and monitor campaigns within our network of high quality websites targeted at the Affluent African American female consumer.

"Teaming up with Vertical Market Ad Solutions allows the company the opportunity to own a platform and build a strong online presence and brand suitable for a modern day publishing company," says CEO Dee Daniels. "The alliance allows us the freedom to focus on growth while Vertical Market Ad Solutions handles technology functions of the website."

"Dee Daniels is a smart and savvy business woman that has remained committed to her Noirwoman brand, first as a print publication and later having the vision to foresee the opportunity to serve a niche market online. We are excited about the venture," says Vertical Market Ad Solutions CEO Andrew Nester.

NOIRwoman's original website will continue to serve as the flagship site providing original lifestyle content articles on fashion, beauty, celebrity, business, foods and politics. The site will also feature some aggregated content from featured publishing partners.

NOIRwoman, headquartered in Chicago, launched as a print publication in 2004 featuring present first lady Michelle Obama on its premiere issue. In 2008 a partnership was formed with the Chicago Sun Times launched where it was featured as a monthly lifestyle publication insert for African American women. Later the company selected to go digital with the publication to serve a growing online segment of women.

Although the Internet continues to grow at a rapid pace, there are fewer relevant online properties that reflect the culture and style of African American women. "African American women control over $400 billion in buying power which is over 60% of the total African American buying power of $849 billion," according to the Selig Center of Economic Growth

CEO/Publisher Dee Daniels' background includes print, broadcast and television media. She began her career in Charleston WV as an on air radio host and news reporter. Later she returned home to Chicago where she worked at WJPC radio station owned by one of her mentors the late John H. Johnson. In addition, Dee hosted a sports show on Sports Channel and later worked as a news reporter for Chicago Tribune News service and Liberty Suburban News.
