Black Cable TV Ratings for Week of April 12 - 18
BET's 'Spring Bling' captures  big audience in back-to-back schedule

(April 22, 2010) There may have been fewer viewers around to give the usual Top 25 cable shows an audience of two million-plus, but that doesn't mean that black viewers weren't tuned in. Tyler Perry and the NBA were at the No.1 and No.2 positions, but it wasn't business as usual on the chart.

BET notched a huge success with the back-to-back block of its music special, "Spring Break." The celebrity heavy shows helped the network achieve most-watched status and pulled in 10.7 million black viewers for nine chart-making programs. TBS finished in second place with 7.3 million viewers for five shows. TNT claimed 4.8 million watchers across four shows.

The total number of viewers watching the Top 25 shows in black households was up 11 percent to 30.4 million, according to Nielsen.
