TV Ratings for Week of March 24 - 30
'Idol' is top show; CBS and NCAA basketball dominate week's top 25

(April 1, 2008) The top TV show in black homes the last week of March was "American Idol," but it had a half million fewer viewers than the earlier week. CBS' "CSI: Miami" broke up the talent show's usual one-two combination by taking second place.

CBS was the week's network winner. The NCAA Chamionships gave the network reign over the top 25 chart by taking seven places and giving coat tails to two of the networks' other shows.
ABC and Fox tie for second with six shows each, while NBC had four chart-makers.

The total number of viewers for the top 25 shows, according to Nielsen Media Research, was 35.7 million. That's nearly a ten percent increase over the previous week's total.
