Cable TV Ratings for Week of March 1 - 7
In a week of less cable viewing, TBS attracts its usual loyal audience (March
10, 2010) The Top 25 list of favorite cable TV shows in black households
had a significant drop for the first week of March, as the usual lineup
faced competition from The Oscars on broadcast TV. TBS, which returned
to its regular schedule of Tyler Perry comedies, took the top four spots
on the chart.
As usual, TBS was the most watched cable network in black households,
with 10.3 million watching six of its shows. Nickelodeon followed with
an total audience of 4.0 million for five programs. USA claimed just 2.1
million for two shows.
The total number of viewers for the Top 25 list, as rated by Nielsen,
was down 17 percent from the previous week to 25.3 million.
