Cable TV Ratings for Week of Feb 25 - March 2
Presidential election coverage still has big appeal for black cable viewers

(March 4, 2008) The campaign of Barack Obama continues to have black audiences flocking to cable's news channels for the latest. For more than two hours MSNBC attracted more than one million black viewers for its presidential debate and post analysis. The coverage ranked third and fourth on the week’s most popular cable shows.

There was a tie for the week's top network between Disney and TBS, both which posted four shows each. USA followed with three.

The total number of black viewers for the top 25 cable shows, according to Nielsen Media Research, was 24.6 million. That's a drop of 13 percent from the previous week.
