BET regains the No.1 spot on the Top 25 cable chart with 'The Game'

(March 3, 2011) After being edged out of the top spot by the NBA All-Star Game, BET's "The Game" returned to its usual No.1 position among the Top 25 cable shows in black households. The show's two-hour block of back-to-back new and past episodes is bracketed by the relationship comedy, "Let's Stay Together," which took the No.2 spot.

BET was again the most watched cable network in black households, with 11.6 million tuning in eight of its shows on the Top 25. TBS was second with 6.9 million for seven shows. ESPN took third place with 4 million viewers for three programs.

The total number of viewers watching the Top 25 cable shows during the last week of February, according to Nielsen, was 30.4 million. That's a drop of 17 percent from the previous week.
