Toyota launches new print and radio ad by Burrell promoting education

(January 23, 2008) -Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. (TMS) debuted a new corporate brand campaign 'We Believe in Your Future,' the first in a series of advertisements promoting science and environmental education and highlighting the company's TAPESTRY Program, the nation's largest K-12 science teacher grant program of its kind. 'We Believe in Your Future' is equally emblematic of the unlimited potential of today's youth and Toyota's commitment to fostering environmental education.

"The Toyota TAPESTRY program rewards overall creativity and innovation in science and environmental education," explains Michael Rouse, corporate manager, philanthropy and community affairs for TMS."Now in its 17th year, we believe TAPESTRY has not only inspired hundreds of science educators, but also stimulates students'interest in science and connects classrooms with their communities."

The "We Believe In Your Future' advertisement created by Burrell Communications Group, Toyota's African American marketing communications agency of record, includes a print ad and a 30-sec radio spot. For 2008 and moving forward, this corporate initiative starting with 'We Believe in Your Future'will highlight how Toyota supports the empowerment of African Americans in areas of particular significance including community, education and health.

"Toyota has a profound commitment to the African American community through their philanthropic activities and continues to remain relevant to target audiences, it's imperative that our messaging speaks to our year-round efforts," states Garlanda Freeze, VP, Group Account Director for Burrell. Based on a Black History Month survey conducted by Burrell, African American consumers are seeking a year-commitment from companies.

Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. is the marketing, sales, distribution and customer service arm of Toyota, Lexus and Scion. Established in 1957, TMS markets products and services through a network of more than 1,450 Toyota, Lexus and Scion dealers.
