Black Cable TV Ratings for Week of January 11 - 17
VH1's new celebrity reality series finish strong among cable's Top 25 shows

(January 21, 2010) The second full week of January saw very little change from the previous week in black households' cable viewing preferences. VH1 had winners with Fantasia For Real and Let's Talk About Pep. Both shows debuted in the fourth and fifth positions respectively on the Top 25 chart of most popular cable shows among black viewers.

TBS held on to its title of most watched cable network thanks to its Tyler Perry comedies. They posted a total of 8.6 million viewers for six airings. TNT was the second most tuned in with 4.9 million black viewers for six programs. VH1 finished third in the network race with 4.5 million watchers for three shows.

The total number of viewers watching the Top 25 cable shows, according to Nielsen data, was virtually the same as the previous with at 27.8 million.
