Lee
Bailey to present Martin Luther King special 2012 on Jan. 16th
(January 9, 2012) Lee Bailey and The Electronic Urban Report have announced they will again broadcast the three-hour radio special, "King From Atlanta To The Mountaintop." The program is set to hit the airwaves nationwide on King Day, Monday, January 16th. This signature radio event draws a loyal audience each year in observance of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Markets scheduled to air the program include Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Houston, Miami, Memphis, Birmingham, Selma, Columbus, Orlando, San Antonio, Sacramento and for a first time, Salt Lake City, Utah. The 2012 edition of the King program will also feature special segments on the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial in Washington, D.C., reverently titled The Rising of the Stone of Hope. "King From Atlanta To The Mountaintop" highlights the insurmountable faith of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and re-visits his sojourn as the nation's premiere civil rights leader during the late 1950's, the turbulent 1960's and up to the time of his historic I Have A Dream Speech, delivered at the March on Washington, August 28, 1968. "King From Atlanta to the Mountaintop" is an award winning, docu-drama that promotes the themes of Dr. Kings life; human rights, diversity, civic responsibility and global citizenship.
